What is ELS?
ELS stands for Earth Liberation Service, LLC, A for-profit business operating against the systems of Capitalism and instead for a Wellbeing Economy*.
As a business owner, ELS offer Skill-Sharing and Peer Support in the areas of; Home Fix-its & Eco-repair projects, Signs & Art of Cultured Messaging, Food Forest Materials & Nutrition, Health & Wellbeing (peer) Support. Pay what you can.
The basic services are simply home and homestead "repairs/improvements". But as a bonus service, ELS offers skill sharing and mentoring for those who want to learn such DIY skills. On a per project basis, patrons of ELS can decide how much skill-sharing they wish to participate in. The goal is to share resources and skills toward collective wellbeing of communities. ELS has over 30 years of DIY experience in home and homestead projects, as well as creative art and signs.
ELS offers creative solutions to basic 'home-fix-its' and 'eco-repair projects'. In addition, ELS offers custom artwork, such as hand-painted signs, murals and portraits. Food forest materials and Permaculture landscaping are also available. And while ELS offers peer-support for Wellbeing health and nutrition, there is no certified mental or biological healthcare to receive. Peer-support is a 'no-charge' service that is available to the project itself. The desire of ELS is that we would acknowledge any measurable Wellbeing throughout the project and share it with those who write and enact policies and legislation.
OK, but what does Earth Liberation Service 'mean'?
Earth is our home. Our home is being abused in the name of profit and of the victims, include many of its people (both animal and human). The actual domicile, of which you lay our head at night has served us well. But it needs constant attention to various components of it. Leaky faucet, cracked window pane, maybe the kitchen appliances aren't working properly. ELS offers consultations on how to repair/fix-it home projects that may otherwise get throw out and replaced with unsustainable materials and labor practices.
Liberation is for Liberty and by definition, Liberty guarantees more than simple freedom but rather demands freedom from oppression. Liberty also expects basic needs are met by everyone, not just those who seek to profit. ELS believes that no living being on the planet is worth less than any other and promotes human and labor rights along with animal and ecology rights. The path to liberation includes everyone.
Service is that of any act "to serve". To serve planet and people over profit. To be 100% clear, ELS operates completely non-violent and rejects any forms of violence against humans and animals. To serve for liberation, is to serve for the betterment of all living things. ELS does not discriminate any inquiries of service. However, ELS does proudly stand with patrons who have been discriminated against due to skin color, sex and orientation, ideologies, abilities, age, class. In fact, ELS serves as link to past generational skills and knowledge to future generations willing to participate.
On a dark note; It is of the opinion of ELS; The path of capitalism has served against the earth and its inhabitants. The Industrial Revolution marks a period of increased extraction of fossil fuels. The use of fossil fuels and its subsequent global emissions threaten to upturn the oceans ability to sequester CO2, thus raising the planets temperature. A Climate Crisis, caused by industrial human practices has poisoned and scorched and scraped Earths surfaces beyond recognition. Our home needs our help. The people that live in our home need our help too. The arms of Capitalism have pressed heavily upon humans and animals of Earth. In the name of "profit", they have endured Genocides and generational traumas. Ecology on Earth has been extracted and poisoned to indescribable degrees. All in the name of profit. ELS challenges these practices and is asking for participation.
ELS respectfully challenges problematic ideologies (and theologies), putting actual energy and resources earned toward a shift of paradigms. This requires bravery in the sense of "voting with your dollars". BDS (Boycott Divest Sanction) is an example of this and ELS supports certain BDS campaigns.

In a Wellbeing Economy, the rules, norms and incentives are set up to deliver quality of life and flourishing for all people, in harmony with our environment, by default.
